Thanks to Fiona we had a fabulous workshop making in-ground worm farms. Fiona led us step by step in the preparation and burial of a worm farm in one of our members plots (see photo below) and described some of the tricks she had learnt to manage them. She has them dotted around her home garden and noted that the effect was like “fertiliser on steroids”. We had 25 people attend the workshop with a mix of members and several visitors at the session, two of the visitors deciding to become social members. The Ocean Grove Community Garden was also featured in the Bellarine Times! During such trying times, it is great to see a good news story that celebrates community.
An instruction sheet on how to make the worm farm and general notes on keeping worms is available to download.
